Good Morning: A Day in Art by Chantal Joffe and Ishbel Myerscough

This informal tour of the new exhibition, Good Morning: A Day in Art by Chantal Joffe and Ishbel Myerscough, has been developed especially for parents and carers with babies. 

Painters Chantal Joffe and Ishbel Myerscough have shared a close friendship and artistic dialogue for decades. While distinct in style, their work is united in its exploration of family, friendship and the everyday. Good Morning sees them trace the unfolding of a single day through the eyes of more than 80 artists. Presenting their own deeply personal paintings and drawings alongside works from Sheffield’s collection by William Blake, Prunella Clough, Paul Gauguin, David Hockney, Claudette Johnson and more, Joffe and Myerscough celebrate the quiet significance of ordinary experience. 

This social session invites parents and carers – including those with babies and young toddlers to join Exhibition Curator Katie Irwin to learn more about the works on display and get an insight into the process behind bringing the exhibition together. Explore the exhibition in relaxed and informal surroundings then enjoy a cuppa, chat and a chance to reflect on your experiences of everyday. And of course, out littlest visitors are very welcome too! 

The Millennium Gallery is breast-feeding friendly and there are baby changing facilities on site.
